If my Pantone post overloads over the past few seasons haven't shown you already, I'm a wee bit obsessed with colour. To the point that I've been know to collect paint chips.
This season I didn't do a Pantone colour series. As much as I enjoy it - it does always seem a little redundant given that Pantone makes such a gorgeous document all by themselves. But I did of course miss the exploration of pure colour. So I've developed this new series.
There are a few sites that already exist that create colour palettes from photographs - this certainly isn't a new idea (hell Lookbook lets you make a palette from your article when you post) graphic designers use these sites as palette inspiration a lot. But I haven't seen it done just for fashion photography (well I googled...I could be wrong)
So here it is - I hope you enjoy it...I can see myself getting very carried away with it and posting these on a scary regular basis, so I really hope you enjoy it.
This picture was stored in my desktops 'Inspiration' folder from before I even had a Pinterest (follow me!) and I cannot for the life of me find out who to credit it to. I love the saturated pastel tones juxtaposed with the stark earth tones. All colours I want to mix and match all summer.
Colour me inspired.
